New NYC cityscape painting: Watertanks over Midtown East
This new painting is based on photographs I shot in New York City taken from the Roosevelt Island Tramway just before going over the East River. I worked to capture the density and variety of buildings in Midtown East.
I worked on this piece on and off since November of 2025. It was a struggle in multiple ways, and I repainted parts of it a dozen times. You can see the final image along with some progress images and the photo reference below. Click on the images to view larger.
