New abstract cityscape painting: “Where Color Holds the Corners”

This new abstract cityscape painting is based on a photo I took of a building adjacent to the Denver Art Museum last year. To my surprise, Denver has some really great architecture - new modern buildings with abstract shapes like this one and the art museum, as well as a lot of original heritage buildings from the 1800s still standing. Intentional design and art is a prominent feature of Denver’s architecture and streetscape. And being surrounded by some of the most beautiful nature in the country, creates some interesting juxtapositions in the landscape.
