I love shooting photographs of architecture and cityscapes. These images are the basis of many of my paintings and mixed media pieces. I travel often and am always inspired by the different shapes, colors, materials, and styles used in architecture. Chicago has wonderful architecture, but the color palette is lacking. So, I developed this series of photographs where I digitally manipulated the images by adding new colors and textures to create a more painterly effect. This process allows me to create something new from what already exists.
